Unboxing [UK]: Sword Art Online II - Part 2: Collector's Edition (BD/DVD)

The fourth MCM pickup is rather long overdue. Back in April I acquired the first part of four for the second season of Sword Art Online II. However not long after that the prices went rather weird so Part 2 wasn't available at a decent value. I decided to save myself the hassle by getting this part from MCM since £25 is better than paying £35+.

Also the box's covers are pretty tough to catch on a camera, so don't be surprised if the angles are rather unreadable.

Sword Art Online II is the second season of the franchise following Kirito and his usual antics. As I said with Part 1, I didn't mind the Phantom Bullet arc itself and Sinon is a decent character.

Sword Art Online II is split into three story arcs this time around. The first half of the series covers the Gun Gale Online (aka Phantom Bullet) arc, and Part 2 covers the remaining episodes in that arc, but now we're at the half-way point of the season. Due to Aniplex, Anime Limited had no choice but to go along with the four part release, however they were able to bring it out with special treatments - that being booklets, a sturdy box and shiny covers.

Part 2 contains the next seven episodes of the season (08-14) plus a recap episode (14.5) across one Blu-ray and DVD disc. Both discs have the English dub and original Japanese audio with optional English subtitles. The discs are locked to region B and 2 only.

Plot Synopsis (via Anime Limited):
Kirito is now certain that Death Gun is also a survivor of SAO. And to make things worse, he is most likely an ex-member of the murder guild, Laughing Coffin. As the final tournament of Bullet of Bullets begins, Kirito and Sinon agree to join forces until they identify which player is Death Gun.

Through the battles, Sinon learns that Kirito also suffers from traumatic memories from the past. But as Sinon sees Kirito trying to overcome them, she too tries to be strong. As BoB reaches its last stage, Kirito suspects that Death Gun may have one or more accomplices in the real world, and they may be targeting Shino Asada as their next target!
