Unboxing [UK]: Makoto Shinkai Twin Pack: The Place Promised in Our Early Days & Voices of a Distant Star - Collector's Edition (BD/DVD)

Fun fact - This is actually Anime Limited's third license (February 2013 for reference). It has taken this long to finally see a release and I managed to pick up this set at a slightly cheaper price via HMV. Of course many others who pre-ordered it with Amazon got it for way less.

Here's a good look at what this long awaited set has to offer.

Unboxing [UK]: Outlaw Star - Complete Series: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

The fifth and last (but not least) MCM pickup is another Sunrise show - Outlaw Star.

It was Anime Limited's second license and now the Blu-ray is available!

Unboxing [UK]: Sword Art Online II - Part 2: Collector's Edition (BD/DVD)

The fourth MCM pickup is rather long overdue. Back in April I acquired the first part of four for the second season of Sword Art Online II. However not long after that the prices went rather weird so Part 2 wasn't available at a decent value. I decided to save myself the hassle by getting this part from MCM since £25 is better than paying £35+.

Also the box's covers are pretty tough to catch on a camera, so don't be surprised if the angles are rather unreadable.

Unboxing [UK]: The Tatami Galaxy - Complete Series: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

The third MCM pickup is a Beez rescue title, and a surprising addition to the Anime Limited catalogue. Funimation streamed the series but never released it, so the UK is the first English territory to release the show on Blu-ray.

Unboxing [UK]: Gundam Reconguista in G - Complete Series: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

The second MCM pickup is the second Gundam release from Anime Limited and the sole title not part of the Sunrise Gundam partnership.

Unboxing [UK]: The Vision of Escaflowne - Complete Series & Movie: Ultimate Edition (Blu-ray)

I have returned from MCM Birmingham Comic Con. It was a great trip overall and I have acquired a couple titles from Anime Limited. The first is the special new re-release of the Escaflowne franchise for the UK.

Despite the title noting Blu-ray, there is actually a DVD version of the film included.

Industry News: Funimation February 2017 Release Slate

February is pretty much the month of re-releases and unexpected new licenses.

And some sort of logic.

Let's see what Funimation has to offer for this line-up.

Unboxing [UK]: Your Lie in April - Part 1: Collector's Edition (Blu-ray)

Back when the show was simulcasting, I did not expect this series to turn out well as much as I expected. And now it's out in the UK. This is another Aniplex title I decided to stick with the UK version for but the Anime Ltd offering was decent enough.

Here's what the set has to offer.

Unboxing [US]: Children Who Chase Lost Voices - Sentai Selects (BD/DVD)

Amazon US had a pretty solid deal going so I decided to go ahead and acquire one of Makoto Shinkai's films. This film was also called Journey to Agartha over here in the UK for some daft reason.

Otaku Collection 2016: October Update | More Japanese Imports! More Monogatari! And a Vita TV!

It's unfortunate that the rate got much worse now, so I made a decision to acquire a few imports in case anything bad happens. And to my surprise the Rightstuf order arrived on time!

So here's the items I picked up during October 2016.
