Industry News: Sentai Filmworks August 2016 Release Slate

Sentai Filmworks offers more titles from the early 2015 season to this line-up.

Here's the list of anime that Sentai & Aesir Holdings have scheduled for the month of August 2016.

Unboxing [US]: Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) - Complete Series: Standard Edition (Blu-ray)

Props to the folks over on Anime UK News for spotting a neat deal from Amazon Canada. This set was available for one day at a price of CAN$22.99 which in UK terms was £13! What a steal for 51 episodes!

This is another show that is suffering from the Aniplex-Funimation situation. The license is estimated to expire at the end of July 2016 so it was perfect timing for me to pick this show up. Here's a look at what the standard edition has to offer.

Random Topic: Funimation Now UK Launched! My First Impressions

After many months of waiting, the new beta version of Funimation's re-designed website is now live for the United Kingdom and Ireland. I've been messing around with it since the moment it went up so here's my first impressions.

So a quick round-up over the recent events. The re-designed site was announced back in early January and it wasn't until recently where the UK & Ireland finally got confirmation on the launch date. You can check out the previous posts I made here and here.

Unboxing [UK]: Sword Art Online II - Part 1: Collector's Edition (BD/DVD)

Last year I picked up the very expensive Aniplex of America sets for Sword Art Online Season 1. This year I decided to go with the Anime Limited sets for Season 2 (saves me money huzzah).

Here's a look at the first part of four for Sword Art Online II.

Random Topic: Funimation Now UK - The News So Far

Back in January I blogged about how Funimation was finally coming to the UK with their new redesigned streaming service. At the time they had a release date set for February, everything was going to be good. Except it ended up getting constantly delayed.

The launch is 'near' so for this post I wanted to go through what exactly has happened (from an anime fan perspective) over the past few months since this point.
