Unboxing [US]: Fate/Zero - Box Set 2: Limited Edition (Blu-ray)

A bit of a delay but the second half of Fate/Zero is finally here. Here's an overview of what Aniplex of America's set has to offer.

Just to recap, Fate/Zero is the prequel to Fate/Stay Night and was written by Gen Urobuchi via light novel and was then adapted into an anime by studio Ufotable. I watched the first half of the series in February a couple months back and I really enjoyed the series thus far. In terms of audio choice I went for the original Japanese audio as I found it easier to listen to and pay attention when I was watching it in the main room, while I also enjoy having consistent voice actors across the franchise (just to note, I'm aware the English dub is well received and I expect Unlimited Blade Works to have returning voice actors from Zero).

This very expensive limited edition set from Aniplex of America contains the second half of Fate/Zero Blu-ray with the second original soundtrack, a DVD with English Cast interviews and some mini goodies like a booklet and a collectible card. This (alongside the Blue Exorcist movie) was one of the last Aniplex sets to have all of the cases placed inside a chipboard artbox (the streak has finally been broken thanks to Sword Art Online II). Like all Aniplex of America sets, the Blu-ray is region free and contains unlockable subtitles. The audio for this set contains the original Japanese language and an English dub, however due to disc space issues the English audio is reduced to Dolby Digital 2.0 only. Note the additional DVD is for Region 1 players only.
