Unboxing [US]: D-Frag! - Complete Series: Limited Edition (BD/DVD)

Funimation are now slowly releasing the titles from the 2014 season, one of the shows starting it off is D-Frag! (or D-Fragments! depending on what title is used). Here's a look at what the Limited Edition set has to offer.

D-Frag! is a comedy anime adapted from the manga of the same name. I've been looking forward to watching this show for a while now, the concept of having to join a Games Club and the antics that occur within it caught my interest. Like Devil is a Part Timer! and High School DxD, Funimation picked up the rights and pretty much blocked the show from the UK (although it's available on Animax UK, I wouldn't recommend that site due to some mixed reception).

The set was released in standard and limited editions, like any other Funimation sets the disc content is exactly the same and the only major difference is the addition of a chipboard artbox (and slim cases for each format if complete sets). On-disc content includes all episodes in the series plus textless opening/closing and the usual Funimation extras. The Blu-ray and DVD discs are compatible with UK and Australian players (Region B, Region 2 and Region 4 respectively) and contain unlockable subtitles.

Plot Synopsis (via Back cover):
The studio that brought you Assassination Classroom unleashes a madcap high school comedy with 100% more psychopaths!

Kazama is a wannabe delinquent on a mission to rule the school, but a run-in with the cray cray cuties of the Game Creation Club derails his plan for power. Instead of conquering Fujou Academy with his fists, Kazama is plunged into a hilariously-twisted world where pain is the name of the game. Ruled by the adorable underground boss Roka, the Game Creation Club is comprised of pretty psychopaths who enjoy snacking, setting things on fire, burying adversaries up to their necks, and tazing the ???? out of anyone who stands in their way! As Roka vies for ultimate control of the school club scene, Kazama scrambles to maintain his sanity and survive the whacked out games these girls play. There’s no escaping the Game Creation Club!
