Unboxing [US]: Shiki - Part 1: Limited Edition USA (BD/DVD)

For this unboxing I will be taking a look at my fourth limited edition box from Funimation; the first half of Shiki.


This set contains the first twelve episodes of the series on two Blu-ray and DVD discs. Note that the Shiki specials are included in the next part (Part 2) so it's only the episodes for this set. The first DVD disc has episodes 1-6 and the second has 7-12 plus the additional extras. The first Blu-ray disc has episodes 1-8 and the second has 9-12 plus the additional extras.

Plot:
During a fiercely hot summer in Sotoba, a peaceful and quiet village with a population of 1300 people, a series of bizarre deaths begin to occur. At the same time, a strange family moves into a long abandoned mansion in the region. After supposedly visiting this strange family, the fashionable Shimizu Megumi goes missing and the entire village goes out in search for her.

Shiki is available from Funimation as a Blu-ray and DVD combo pack. Shiki is also available from Siren Visual for Blu-ray and DVD sets in Australia. Manga UK only has the DVD version but the Funimation release is compatible with Region B players in United Kingdom.
