Unboxing [US]: High School DxD - Complete Series: Limited Edition (BD/DVD)

It's been a while but it was worth it. The latest unboxing is the light novel fanservice ecchi action show; High School DxD from Funimation.

High School DxD is very ecchi, not joke. There's tons of fanservice all over the series with no cuts or censoring whatsoever (therefore; it's uncensored original format). But if you ignore the fanservice, then this show is really worth watching for the story and the characters. Watching both the Japanese and English dubs, you'll notice it's been done the same style as H.O.T.D. in terms of references and language. It's a show not suitable for a younger audience due to the amount of nudity.

This version is US Imported, this was decided because of the show's nature. The BBFC and the british media are not friendly with anime at all especially with the law that bans cartoons that could be harmful in such ways, for instance hentai. High School DxD is rather borderline in terms of its content so I took the safer route of importing before anything worse could happen. On the plus side of importing, this copy is compatible with Region B players and UK/AUS DVD players. Note that this import is a Limited Edition version and there's also a Standard version available.

UPDATE: To my surprise the show was licensed by Manga UK and has been passed uncut by the BBFC with a rating of 15. The show is available to UK owners on Blu-ray and DVD separately.

This Blu-ray and DVD combo is a limited edition version, with two slim Blu-ray cases and two discs included with each one. This product contains all 12 episodes from the first season plus the six specials released with the Japanese volumes. The OVAs (Episodes 13 and 14) are not included but they should be included with High School DxD New, the second season if Funimation decides to license the series. As mentioned before, there are four discs overall. The Blu-ray version has episodes 1 to 9 for disc 1 and episodes 10 to 12 with all the extras on disc 2. The DVD version has episodes 1 to 7 for disc 1 and episodes 8 to 12 with all the extras on disc 2.
